Board Members
Sheetal Mehta is the founder of Shivia Ltd (www.shivia.com), a Microfinance business, and is also founder and CEO of Innovative Social Ventures Ltd (www.innovativesocialventures.com) which provides advisory services to socially conscious technology companies relating to venture capital and corporate partnering. She sits on several advisory boards in this capacity.
Additionally Mehta is the UK Deal Maker (by appointment) for the UK Trade and Investment’s Global Entrepreneur Programme. As a liaison between Government and entrepreneurs, she is responsible for accessing Venture Capital funding for technology start ups and assisting entrepreneurs interested in setting up their companies and pursuing opportunities in the United Kingdom. Previously, Mehta was Director VC Relations at Microsoft where she worked with the Venture Capital community in EMEA and the Silicon Valley to help their portfolio companies leverage the .NET initiative.
Mehta has received several awards including an Asian Women of Achievement Award from Prince Charles and Cherie Blair (2005) and was also voted Entrepreneur of the Year by Asian Woman Magazine. She has a Masters in International Relations (Economics) from the London School of Economics and BA (Honours) in International Politics from the University of Alberta, Canada.
Pamir Gelenbe : Board Member
Pamir Gelenbe is with Newtonmore Advisors, a venture capital and private equity firm based in London. Newtonmore focuses on later stage venture investments and its portfolio includes companies such as Antics3d ( www.antics3d.com), Discoverytel (www.discoverytel.com), Seatwave (www.seatwave.com) and Oxford Sensors (www.oxfordrfsensors.com). Prior to Newtonmore, Pamir co-founded Flytxt (www.flytxt.com), a leader in mobile marketing services and technology. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners.
Pamir holds a BSE Summa Cum Laude from Duke University as well as an MSc in Operations Research from Columbia University.
Peter Gillingwater: Director
Peter is the Managing Director of Nexec Partners and one of the co-founders of the European Leadership Programme. Peter’s career began in EDS as a technology consultant in his native New Zealand and with Citigroup when he came to London in 1987. He moved into Global Technology Executive Search in 1988 and has amassed experience within Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. He was also a Director and Board Member of the AIM listed Corporate Executive Search Group that was instrumental in building the start-up management teams for many leading companies in their European growth plans.
Since 1999 he has worked extensively with the international VC & Private Equity community in locating key executives for portfolio companies from early build phase and beyond. His network within the TMT sectors is a significant factor in the successful delivery of key assignments and ongoing development of the business.
Jayne Chace is an international executive with 20 years experience in business development, branding, communications, strategic marketing and consulting with expertise in penetrating new markets, repositioning and launching companies and managing customers and teams in competitive, culturally diverse environments.
In 2004, Jayne joined the LogicaCMG Telecoms Board as Chief Marketing Officer, turning around the division and selling for £265M in 2007, then launched the new company, Acision. She is currently a venture partner at MTI Venture Capital.
Previously, Jayne held executive positions at Oracle, Nortel, Cadence, Siemens and Unisys and a technology start-up company that was sold to IBM. More recently she has consulted for venture capital firms and served as Non-Executive Director. In 2004 she won the UK Sales & Marketing Interim Manager of the Year award.
Prior to moving into the corporate world, Jayne was a university history professor in the USA.
Jayne is also an adept conference speaker, a published author and was the New England Women’s Champion of enduro motorcycle racing for ten years.
Chris joined the European Leadership Programme as a Board member in November 2007. He brings 25 years experience in the technology financial markets, including 9 years as a electronics industry research analyst and 16 years as a banker both in San Francisco and, for the past 10 years, in London.
Prior to joining Regent, Chris started and managed the European office for Silicon Valley Bank’s Alliant investment banking advisory firm. He has also managed investment banking groups in London for Cowen, DLJ and Lehman Brothers. During his career, he has executed more than 80 transactions for technology companies, including lead managing IPOs for companies such as Veritas, Elantec, Semitool, SCM Microsystems, QLogic and others. He held research positions with Alliance Bernstein and Cowen & Co.
He has also served as Chairman of the European Tech Tour Association, a Geneva-based non-profit conferencing forum for growth companies and venture capitalists, and is currently the London-based Managing Director for Regent Associates. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
Philip Randerson: Director
Philip is a Partner in Nexec Partners with over 10 years experience in TMT executive level searches. He has built a reputation as one of Europe’s leading search professionals, establishing an excellent network within the Executive and Investor communities.
His expertise lies in understanding how and what attracts the industries top performers and making sure each hire assists the companies’ growth ambitions. He has been responsible for the key appointments that have established and grown a number of companies in the TMT sectors. Prior to Nexec Partners he headed up a TMT executive search practice that built a number of high growth privately funded technology companies.
He is also a co-founder of the CEO development initiative the European Leadership Programme.
Martin Falch: Director
Martin's career encompasses both Executive Search and commercial roles within the converging ICE area. His early career was in recruiting senior executives into both VC backed enterprises and blue-chip companies such as IBM, Accenture and CA. He subsequently served as Country Manager UK & Ireland for 2 early-mid phase companies in the UK before returning to Executive Search.
Through his combined experience in Industry and search Martin has an exceptional understanding of finding and attracting the right talent to grow a business. He has a detailed knowledge of high growth markets and has developed an extensive network of contacts.
A Norwegian national, Martin serves as Vice President of the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC)
