Professional development

The afternoon sessions are designed around member’s needs and interests to give a ‘heads up’ of the range of challenges they will face in their role as CEO.  ELP members have the support of the group, as well as credible experts, to be able to face common issues so far identified in the 30 year history of the VC industry. From the critical first 100 days through to the ending of the ‘honeymoon’ period; over the ‘market roadblocks’ and onto a successful conclusion – usually an M&A transaction or public offering.

The specific topics to be covered in each workshop are defined by interviewing the members of the group prior to the session.  The programme is then developed and professional advisors recruited to address those issues. This highly-tailored approach means that ELP is grounded in live issues, rather than theoretical management case studies, and can deliver immediate benefits to the members.

The agenda for each masterclass is developed in consultation with the members by Natalie Turner, an innovation expert, and facilitated by Ashley Ward, a 7-time CEO himself. Masterclass leaders are drawn from our extraordinary network of experts in all the appropriate disciplines into which members may require to gain insight.
